I'm having a similar problem with the video not displaying in the video/audio player: http://archive.org/details/TeachingLearningAndTheGooglizationOfEverythingWithDr.Siva

No sound or picture in any browser used.
Running Win7; different browsers: Firefox 12, Chrome

The video files that were uploaded were .avi and mp4 > would it be better to convert it to a preferable file format and then re-upload it? Might the video player work then?
Many thanks!

works fine for me on chrome (mac) as a [video] tag.

moov atom isn't at the back (very good! 8-)
and the rest of the video and audio profile as well as pixel space.

however, seems like flash plugin is not happy with the .mp4!

looks like made w/ HandBrake?

maybe there is some tickable option to make it work w/ flash plugin?
i suggest maybe trying a few 10 second videos and many test encodes
and go with the one that works 8-)

i can alternatively suggest ffmpeg and even our build script we use to compile it, and process we use to make our .mp4. You can see how we use ffmpeg and qt-faststart to make an .mp4 here:
